Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced he will unveil a peace plan for the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict within the next three days, according to the New York Post. The proposal is expected to include a ceasefire agreement, potential deployment of European troops as a “resilience force,” and recognition of Crimea as Russian territory.
While details remain limited, the plan reportedly involves the U.S. envoy delivering a “final best proposal” to Russia this week, possibly involving reductions in sanctions as part of negotiations.
Reactions from involved parties have been cautious. Ukrainian Defense Minister officials denied claims that Kyiv is "90% in agreement" with the U.S. on the proposal. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated he will “analyze and evaluate” the brief ceasefire announced last weekend before making any formal response.
The upcoming proposal marks a new diplomatic push amid a prolonged and unresolved war, though its chances of acceptance remain uncertain amid tense geopolitical dynamics.
