World Liberty Financial (WLF), a crypto project tied to the Trump family, has signed a letter of intent with the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC) to advance blockchain development, stablecoin adoption, and decentralized finance (DeFi) initiatives in Pakistan.
A WLF delegation recently met with key Pakistani leaders, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, to explore collaboration opportunities across the digital asset ecosystem.
Pakistan is rapidly moving to establish itself as a global crypto hub. The government is finalizing a comprehensive set of cryptocurrency regulations aimed at creating a legal framework for digital assets.
Notably, Binance founder Changpeng "CZ" Zhao was also reported to have joined the Pakistan Crypto Council as a Strategic Advisor last month, highlighting the country's growing importance in the sector.
This new partnership suggests a strong push by WLF to gain a foothold in emerging markets, leveraging political and industry influence to accelerate DeFi and stablecoin expansion across South Asia.
