The exchange says Bybit’s security vulnerabilities led to the breach, not its Web3 services.

OKX is pushing back against allegations that EU regulators are scrutinizing its Web3 services following the Bybit hack. A Bloomberg report cited Bybit’s claims that $100 million in stolen funds were laundered through an OKX wallet.

In a strong response, OKX denied the allegations, calling Bybit’s statements misleading and blaming Bybit’s own security flaws for the breach. OKX also emphasized that no official investigation is underway and reaffirmed its commitment to regulatory compliance after securing a MiCA license in the EU.

Bybit has yet to respond to OKX’s rebuttal or the growing scrutiny from industry observers.
