Blockchain intelligence firm Arkham confirmed that North Korea’s Lazarus Group was behind the $1.5 billion exploit on Bybit. The findings, submitted by on-chain detective ZachXBT, provide detailed forensic evidence, including test transactions, wallet connections, and a full attack timeline.
Lazarus Group, known for major exchange and DeFi hacks, has been responsible for multiple high-profile cybercrimes, including the $600M Ronin Bridge hack. Bybit is actively working with investigators to track the stolen funds and strengthen security measures.
