In Brief:
Two users lost over $140,000 in the last 14 hours due to a “transaction history pollution attack.”
Scammers manipulate transaction histories by sending fake transfers to deceive users into copying fraudulent addresses.

According to security analyst Scam Sniffer (@realScamSniffer), fraudsters exploited two crypto users by polluting their transaction history with fake transfers. One victim lost $103,100 by mistakenly copying and sending funds to a fraudulent address, while another lost $43,674 through the same method.

This type of attack tricks users into copying malicious addresses that appear in their transaction logs, leading to accidental transfers to scammer-controlled wallets. Crypto users are advised to manually verify recipient addresses and avoid copy-pasting from transaction histories.
